Allt i Transport is merging with G-Moving

Allt i Transport & Spedition AB (AiT) is aquiring G-Moving, a part of G-Solutions (Global Freight Solutions AB) and STL Group in Gothenburg. The companies are merging because with their combined expertise, production capacity and client base, they form Sweden’s leading moving service company – now with the capacity to match even the most successful companies in the industry on an international level.

AiT began operations in 2003 and is now Sweden’s leading moving service provider in the public sector whilst being a major player in the private commercial market too. Some examples of AiT’s large, current clients include: Stockholm County Council, Uppsala Municipal Council and the Enforcement Authority.

G-Moving specializes in international moving and is part of G-Solutions (Global Freight Solutions AB) and STL Group. G-Solutions was established in Gothenburg in 2006 to provide freight forwarding and door-to-door delivery services. Over the years, G-Moving has worked with many large, international clients and is now the primary supplier for a number of multinational corporations as well as the majority of embassies.

AiT can see extensive and clear synergies with this deal. “This merger gives us everything we need to be able to match the most successful companies in the industry, including the international removals”, explains the MD of AiT Per Hansson. “G-Moving’s impressive experience in international moving, together with AiT’s huge production capacity, make us a comprehensive partnership. “We see no reason to change what G-Moving does and creates now; rather, it will be ‘business as usual’ throughout this process.” G-Moving is expected to continue the success story it has enjoyed so far both in Sweden and beyond. Meanwhile, AiT wants to further develop and refine its services, both on the administrative and the product engineering side. Both parties are confident that this will be fullfilled by the acquisition of G-Moving.

The combined operations will be brought together under the G-Moving name. In late autumn 2018, G-Solutions shareholders will also be offered shares in AiT in order to build a sustainable and long-term alliance. The business will initially have more than 5000 clients, spread across 3900 assignments per year and an annual turnover of approx. SEK 150 million.

G-Solutions offices closed for Midsummer

Due to the Midsummer public holiday G-Solutions’ offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Helsinki (Espoo) will be closed all day on the 22nd June.

Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS)

Due to a general increase in oil bunker prices of approx. 16% during the first six months of 2018, most container shipping lines have recently enforced an EBS charge or plan to do so during the remainder of June or even during July. The quantum of EBS and geographic scope varies from carrier to carrier. However, the general range is USD50 – 60 per TEU and some Carriers are announcing a global surcharge.

China Customs Advance Manifest (CCAM)

As of June 1st 2018, Chinese Customs have enforced additional regulatory requirements for all inbound cargo to/from or via China. These new procedures mean that additional Shipper and Consignee details are required and must be supplied at an earlier time than before (individual rules per carrier will apply). Clients will be informed of applicable deadlines at the time of booking.

In detail the following information must be sent to the Carrier when Chinese ports are involved in a particular shipment (depending on the Carrier):

An accurate and total representation of all goods under the Bills of Lading

The Consignor/Shipper details must now include; the company phone number and contact person’s name and phone number.

The Consignee details must now include; the full company name and company code/s* (for example – USCI, VAT, MOMS, Org or CIK and EIN). The Consignee’s phone number is also required. There can be exceptions when the Consignee is “TO ORDER OF” or “TO THE ORDER OF”.

The Notify Party details must now include; the full company name, company code/s* (for example – USCI, VAT, MOMS, Org or CIK and EIN)
and the contact person’s name and phone number.

*A company code can be that which identifies the company with respective taxation- and customs authorities in relevant countries and states.
