Bolloré Logistics, ranking among the world’s top 10 in transport and logistics, has taken a significant leap forward in the Nordics with the acquisition of a majority stake in the Swedish company Global Freight Solutions AB and its Finnish affiliate. This now extends the present Bolloré Logistics network to 600 offices in 109 countries with 25,000 employees. This acquisition reinforces the company’s presence in Europe, especially in the Nordic markets. It was a strategic target to complement the regional network having previously established a structure in Norway which was subsequently joined by a similar investment in Denmark.
Established in 2006, G-Solutions is headquartered in the maritime hub of Gothenburg, with additional offices in Stockholm and Helsinki, offering a comprehensive portfolio of services. As an export driven economy Sweden is an industrial powerhouse. Alongside Finland, the area matches perfectly many of Bolloré Logistics’ strategic industry verticals, such as mining, power, automotive, aeronautics and defence, telecom, hi tech, healthcare and retail.
Commenting on the news, Henri Le Gouis, CEO Europe of Bolloré Logistics, said: “I am delighted to strengthen our footprint in the region, this will allow greater depth and consistency to our commercial proximity with clients. As the deal neared completion, we have already been working together under a partnership arrangement. This already delivered many commercial opportunities and we are delighted now to formalise our shared future, such as coupling up with the company’s industrial projects division, and to offer Swedish exporters new logistics solutions boosting their performances into the African, Middle East and Asian markets. I know our clients and network colleagues will welcome this development.”
Responding on behalf of G Solutions, Johan Moerth, Managing Director, added: “I am extremely positive about this development. We have grown rapidly and acquired a reputation for quality of service and accessibility to clients. I believe these values underpin our success and are perfectly matched to Bolloré Logistics’ culture. Now with access to the company’s systems, expertise and strategic carrier alliances I believe we will contribute very strongly to its growth in the region. In the challenging times of Covid-19 we are already extending Bolloré Logistics charter options and bespoke industry solutions across the full range of clients in our region. Whether it be China, the Americas or our unparalleled reach in Africa, we are seeing immediate synergies between our local client relationships and the power and scope of solutions that only a major player can provide. “

The announced strike in all main Swedish ports planned to commence today, 6th March, has in the very last minute been cancelled.
An agreement has been reached between the Swedish Dockworkers Union and the Ports of Sweden, and the details available so far confirm that both parties agree to cancel all hostile action and return to “business as usual”.
As ocean line carriers and truckers have planned for an all-out strike, some disturbances are still to be expected the coming days, but hopefully this will only have minor consequences and we will try our utmost to minimize the effects of this for our clients.
Global Freight Solutions Oy Ltd is proud to announce it’s brand new membership of the Africa Logistics Network.

Allt i Transport & Spedition AB (AiT) is aquiring G-Moving, a part of G-Solutions (Global Freight Solutions AB) and STL Group in Gothenburg. The companies are merging because with their combined expertise, production capacity and client base, they form Sweden’s leading moving service company – now with the capacity to match even the most successful companies in the industry on an international level.
AiT began operations in 2003 and is now Sweden’s leading moving service provider in the public sector whilst being a major player in the private commercial market too. Some examples of AiT’s large, current clients include: Stockholm County Council, Uppsala Municipal Council and the Enforcement Authority.
G-Moving specializes in international moving and is part of G-Solutions (Global Freight Solutions AB) and STL Group. G-Solutions was established in Gothenburg in 2006 to provide freight forwarding and door-to-door delivery services. Over the years, G-Moving has worked with many large, international clients and is now the primary supplier for a number of multinational corporations as well as the majority of embassies.
AiT can see extensive and clear synergies with this deal. “This merger gives us everything we need to be able to match the most successful companies in the industry, including the international removals”, explains the MD of AiT Per Hansson. “G-Moving’s impressive experience in international moving, together with AiT’s huge production capacity, make us a comprehensive partnership. Our driving force is to facilitate our clients’ next steps by responsibly creating seamless transportation across Sweden and the World, eliminating burdensome administrative work and making sure that those who move with us are at home in their new destination. Now we look forward to being able to provide even better moving services, entirely in line with our driving force.”
“We see no reason to change what G-Moving does and creates now; rather, it will be ‘business as usual’ throughout this process.” G-Moving is expected to continue the success story it has enjoyed so far both in Sweden and beyond. Meanwhile, AiT wants to further develop and refine its services, both on the administrative and the product engineering side. Both parties are confident that this will be fullfilled by the acquisition of G-Moving.
“The deal will have positive effects for existing and new clients alike, in terms of long-term development and powerful consolidation”, explains the MD of G-Moving, Johan Moerth. “A complete range whilst maintaining quality and service, both locally and internationally.”
The combined operations will be brought together under the G-Moving name. In late autumn 2018, G-Solutions shareholders will also be offered shares in AiT in order to build a sustainable and long-term alliance. The business will initially have more than 5000 clients, spread across 3900 assignments per year and an annual turnover of approx. SEK 150 million.
